Fall 2020 Kickoff

We hope that the school year has started off well for each of you and you are ready to start thinking about participating in Scouts this fall! We know that the last thing you want to add to your plate is another Zoom or Teams meeting so we are going to do our best to give you some new activities to do with your family while also having some socially distant outdoor Den activities, if possible. We wanted to give you a bit of an idea of what we have planned.

On September 29th, we will have a virtual information meeting for any NEW scout parents. If you are a new scout family in our area, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about our pack and the benefits of scouting for your student.

On October 6th, we will have our first virtual pack meeting. We don’t want to keep your scouts in front of the computer any longer than we have to, so our pack meetings this fall will be quick and will give them something to do after the pack meeting to share with everyone later. We ask that you make sure you join the Facebook group for Pack 631 if you haven’t already. You can find it at https://www.facebook.com/groups/pack631/. A couple of weeks before our first pack meeting, we’ll post an activity for you and your family to do and how you can share it with the rest of the pack.

Each Den Leader will work with your families to help you work through your scout’s requirements & share those results with the den in a variety of fun ways. We do hope that we can have occasional den meetings or activities that stay within the CDC Guidelines for safety and social distancing and also stay within our local and state regulations. We are working out the details of this now & hope to have more information at the pack meeting on October 6th.

While this year will look different in scouts just like it has in school and other areas of our lives, we hope we can provide you and your family with some new activities after having been home for so long. We also still hope to help you get outside a bit while helping your scouts grow as leaders.  If you have questions, please reach out to us through our Facebook group linked above.
